In their first year all students attend a Queensland industry study tour where they apply the skills learned and view best practice industry operators at work. Topics covered will include tour guiding and industry experience in dive operations. In second year an optional overseas tour is available so that students can observe international best practice operators in the field and attend targeted industry events.
In second year subjects are oriented towards management and students will have the opportunity to go on an overseas study tour.
Conducted as weekly sessions, PADI training takes place progressively from the recreational levels of Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver, through to the professional level of Divemaster and then on to the Instructor Development Course. Instruction is also given in equipment maintenance and marine interpretation, and a three-week Coxswains training course.
Students will complete the hospitalaity business & mangement training at the newly refurbished William Angliss premises which includes 9 classrooms and 3 commercial training kitchens whilst the diving compnewnt will be conducred at Dive Centre Manly. |
