About diving at Forster:
The Pinnacle is rated in the top ten dive sites in the World. This is big critter territory, Grey Nurse Sharks up to 4 metres long in aggregations of 50 and more. Big kingfish, jewfish, trevally and stingrays are all seen here. An advanced dive, depth 24 to 33 metres (and deeper). This is the site that many divers experience their best dive ever, anywhere in the world.
The ‘Big Rock’ at Seal Rocks has four different dive sites surrounding the island. It is here that the Grey Nurse Sharks aggregate in the greatest numbers on the East Coast of Australia Dive depths 8 metres to40 metres plus.
Spot A is one of Forster’s most popular dive sites. A sheer wall from 10 to 20 metres hosts a wide variety of marine life. A dive for all levels of experience and one not to miss on a visit to Forster.
What to do in Forster!
Forster’s stunning scenery provides a backdrop to a host of activities! Get active, jump in a kayak and explore the lakes. Discover a wide choice of walks, from long distance treks to pleasant coastal boardwalks.
For family fun, shoot down a water slide at a fun park, join a Discovery Ranger on a wildlife safari, learn to surf, watch whales from the deck of a cruise boat or simply pack up the sunscreen for a day at the beach.
Take time out to amble around the shops, galleries and markets. Or indulge in a spot of pampering. Tantalise your taste buds, with a meal at a lake side cafe or fabulous local winery.
